Vivace Engenharia: data warehouse and system integrations

Data from the Omie ERP, RunRun.it and internal systems brought together in a data warehouse with daily sync, as a foundation for reports, automations and AI.

Project illustration: data from Omie, RunRun.it and other systems brought together in a data warehouse for reports and AI

Starting point

Vivace Engenharia, an engineering firm, uses Omie, a Brazilian ERP, for financial management, RunRun.it for projects and time tracking, and other internal systems.

Each tool held part of the information, and cross-referencing contracts, hours and finances to understand the operation depended on exports and spreadsheets.

What was implemented

  • Data lake and data warehouse in PostgreSQL, with one environment for reporting and another for ingestion and transformation.
  • Orchestrated pipelines (Prefect) with daily incremental loads from Omie, RunRun.it and internal systems.
  • Integrations and automations between systems, such as the accounts payable flow between RunRun.it and Omie.
  • Reports built on top of the data warehouse.
  • Observability and operations: monitoring, scheduled routines and documentation for each component.
  • Being rolled out: an internal AI assistant with read-only access to contract, financial and document data.

What changed

Vivace's data is now gathered in one place and updated every day, making it possible to build reports and automations without exporting spreadsheets from each system.

This foundation is also what enables the next step: natural-language queries with AI.
