Prontoplast: inventory integration between Tiny and Access

Automatic product mapping between the Tiny ERP and the production team's Access database, so inventory matches across both systems.

Project illustration: integrating the Tiny ERP with the Access database through an automatic product mapping table (DE-PARA)

Starting point

Prontoplast manages sales and inventory in Tiny, a Brazilian ERP, and production (raw material consumption, scrap and production entries) in an Access database.

For the two systems to talk to each other, a product code mapping table (DE-PARA) was needed; it was maintained by hand and covered only a small share of the items.

What was implemented

  • Automatic download of Tiny data, with no manual export.
  • Automatic generation of the mapping table (DE-PARA), matching Tiny products to Access products by SKU, for every item that exists in both systems.
  • Integration of production entries from Access with inventory.
  • Documented step-by-step guide for the team to run and check the process.

What changed

The product mapping between the two systems is no longer maintained by hand and now covers every item they share, reducing inventory discrepancies between production and the ERP.
